Royal Baby Charity Drive

(Please read with your best British accent. It makes this blog much more fun.)

Hear Ye, Hear Ye

It is declared on the 22 day of July of the year 2013 that the Royal House of the Library of Fairfield Township, New Jersey would like to congratulate the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on the impending arrival of the soon to be Heir to the British throne.
Congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge!

The Royal House of the Library of Fairfield Township, New Jersey would ordinarily set forth a horse and carriage filled to capacity with board books for the new Royal tot. Upon the Duke and Duchess's humanitarian wishes we will rather collect donations for darling infants in Essex county.

Between now to the end of August you are cordially invited to bring your baby gifts to the Fairfield Library.

The Library's donation box

Suggested donations are:

1. Nappies (diapers size small for infants)
2. New rompers, trousers or similar clothing for the wee ones
3. Board books! Blimey, why didn't we put that first?
4. Blankets, bonnets, booties
5. Bottles

We thank you for your kind donations to the little wee tikes. The donations will go to:

1. Babyland Domestic Violence Shelter, Newark. They shelter mothers with small infants.

They give mothers in their 3rd trimester a place to rest, and provides them and their newborns shelter through the first months of the babies lives. Additionally they hold workshops for the mothers so they learn to cook, attend to a baby and run a household as a self-sufficient adult. They also offer young mothers career guidance and educational opportunities.

Thank you for your kindness, Fairfield!
